National Mobilization to End the Korean War
July 27–28 | Washington, DC
To mark the 70th anniversary of the Korean Armistice, peace advocates from around the country will converge in the nation’s capital to call on President Biden and Congress to officially end the Korean War and replace the armistice with a peace agreement.
This national gathering is being organized by peace activists, humanitarian aid organizations, and groups representing veterans, faith traditions, and Korean American communities.
Activities will include a press conference at the House triangle with Korea Peace champions, a community grief ceremony, a rally at the White House calling for peace in Korea, and a conference featuring strategists and activists organizing for peace in Korea.

In 2015, thirty feminist peacemakers set out on a risky journey across the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. Their aim: to call for an end to the war that has divided the Korean peninsula and its people for 70 years. Emmy-award-winning filmmaker Deann Borshay Liem captures their groundbreaking journey in Crossings, a deeply moving documentary that offers a powerful, feminist challenge to the mainstream U.S. narrative of the Korean War. We’re inviting Korea peace supporters across the United States and U.S. territories to host watch parties on July 22, at 8pm ET / 5pm PT. It’s an opportunity to build community, mobilize energy for the July 27 mobilization, and remind ourselves of WHY we’re working to end the Korean War.
Your watch party can be a small, intimate gathering in your living room or a larger event at a local venue—it’s up to you! Please register below so you can receive our watch party toolkit + details for our pre-broadcast prep Zoom.
