Dear {{ FirstName | default: “Friend” }},
Despite all the challenges during this pandemic, Women Cross DMZ has persevered and grown this year in both capacity and spirit. Among our many accomplishments, we:
Your support is vital as we continue to gain traction and visibility, and become the unfortunate target of attacks by those who oppose peace and profit from the status quo. Learn more about what we’ve achieved this year and how we’re planning to ramp up our efforts for Korea peace next year in our 2021-2022 Annual Report. And please consider donating to Women Cross DMZ.
In other news, please save the date for a very special upcoming event we’re organizing, “Peace and Human Rights in North Korea: An Argument for Ending the War.” Speakers will include Elizabeth Beavers, an attorney, analyst, and advocate focused on national security and human rights law and policy; Jeon Sumi, a human rights attorney; and Tomás Ojea Quintana, UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in North Korea. Register for the event here.
Finally, we’re excited to share photos from the recent world premiere of Crossings at the Hawai’I International Film Festival! The screening was warmly received by a sold-out crowd and is still available to screen virtually through Nov. 28 (Hawai’i residents only). Stay tuned for when Crossings will be available nationwide!
