Join Us for a Special Fundraiser for WCDMZ + CROSSINGS

Dear Friend,

I just got back from New York, where we gathered 23 leaders working on Korea peace, including Korean Americans from divided families, a son of a US soldier still missing from the Korean War, nonproliferation experts, a pastor, and humanitarian aid workers that have supported North Korean farmers and doctors for decades.

Afterward, I flew to Los Angeles for the West Coast premiere of Deann Borshay Liem’s new film, CROSSINGS, at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

At both of these events I was truly inspired by the growth and diversity of our Korea peace movement — especially the younger generation — all of us united by our desire for peace on the Korean Peninsula.

That’s why I hope you’ll join us on May 24 for a special fundraising event for Women Cross DMZ and the CROSSINGS impact campaign, which aims to bring CROSSINGS to communities across the country and around the world to spread our message of the power of women’s peacebuilding.

This virtual fundraiser will include:

  • Special greeting from Gloria Steinem

  • Korean drumming “Ulim-울림” by Dohee Lee and MU Ritual Performers: Codie Otte, Emily Encina, Eugene Kang, Judy Jun, Yong Chan Miller

  • Remarks by Don Mee Choi, 2021 MacArthur Fellow; Christine Ahn, Women Cross DMZ Executive Director; Aiyoung Choi, Women Cross DMZ Board Chair; Deann Borshay Liem, Director of CROSSINGS; and more

We’ll share more about our exciting plans for CROSSINGS as well as future projects of Women Cross DMZ.

Hope to see you then.

Christine Ahn
