Mairead is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate for her peaceful, nonviolent work on the ethnic/political conflict in Northern Ireland. She organized large-scale peace demonstrations and established the Peace People organization. Since then, she has dedicated herself to advancing nonviolence and disarmament initiatives globally.
